Presentation Windpark Fryslân by Bart Ummels
On July 7, 2022, Bart Ummels of Windpark Fryslân will share his lessons learned from developing the 383 MW wind farm in the IJsselmeer.
Bart Ummels, Senior Construction Manager of Windpark Fryslân and Lecturer Offshore Wind Energy at the TU Delft, has offered to present several of the lessons learned from the development of the 383 MW wind farm in the IJsselmeer. He will address this in a 2-hour presentation hosted at the GROW office in Utrecht (hybrid). The presentation will be split into a generic and more specialistic parts:
General session (15:30 – 16:40)
- A decade of project development: getting the basics right for offshore wind projects
- Technical design choices: the specific solutions engineered for an onshore wind project
Specialist session (16:45 – 17:30)
- Pile runs: risk and mitigations of difficult-to-predict dynamic soil behaviour and monopile hammering
